About Evaluations
What Does An Evaluation Include?
The evaluation process begins with a consultation with a member of our team to determine the services that would best serve you and your unique needs. This consultation is followed by questionnaires for you to complete on your own and in-person or virtual testing with your evaluator. Your evaluator will then write a comprehensive report with their findings, including results of individual tests, diagnoses, and recommendations for accommodations and/or treatment. You will then have a feedback session with your evaluator to discuss the report and learn more about what these results might mean for you.
How Are Evaluations Used?
Evaluations are used to determine what learning issues an individual might have and what kind of learning environment and accommodations are needed for them to demonstrate their full cognitive potential. Examples of how Dr. Bugg's evaluations have been used in the past include:
-
Obtaining classroom accommodations and special resources such as having a reader, extra time on exams, working on a computer, having a scribe, and taking tests in a quiet room with few others and frequent breaks for those with learning or attention disorders.
-
Admission into private schools that specialize in students with disabilities.
-
Obtaining accommodations such as extra time on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Graduate Record Exam (GRE), Law School Admission Test (LSAT), as well as many other state and national tests.
